NILES - Thomas G. Butcher Jr., 62, died Friday January 3, 2014 at his residence.
He was born in Youngstown on February 12, 1951 the son of Thomas G. and Anna Catherine (Kulon) Butcher Sr. and lived in this community all his life.
He was a graduate of Niles McKinley High School and retired in 2004 after working many years at Delphi Packard Electric Company. He was a member of St. Stephen Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and Harley Davidson Motorcycles.
Tom is survived by three daughters, Stefanie Ann (Matthew) Langenberg of Solon, Stacey Lynn (James) Pappada of Howland, Sally JoAnn (Josh) Lombardo of Okinawa, Japan; seven grandchildren, Alexis, Alexandra, Zachary and Jake Langenberg, Leo and Layla Pappada, Izabella Lombardo; two sisters, Kathleen (Paul) Haynie of Vienna, Anna Jeannette (Michael) Lenno of Niles.
He was preceded in death by his wife Beverly Ann (Gocala) Butcher whom he married on October 23, 1976 and who died on June 9, 2003; his parents and an infant brother, Stephen Butcher.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 7:00 pm at St. Stephen Church where family and friends may call from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. Rev. Thomas Kraszewski will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
