Thomas E. Cross

McDONALD - Thomas E. Cross, 80, passed away peacefully at 8:23 p.m., Saturday, March 25, 2017 at his home. He was born in Lawton, Kentucky on July 28, 1936 the son of Joe H. and Edna (May) Cross. He was loved and cherished by everyone, especially his devoted wife and caring children. Tom is a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #396 of Youngstown and a partner with his brother of the J. and T. Cross Bros., Inc. He also was an owner of various other businesses in the Niles Community. He enjoyed working on and restoring antique cars and motorcycles. Tom is survived by his wife Kitty (Black) Cross whom he married on December 21, 1957; son, Timothy (Tonya) Cross of Mineral Ridge; daughter, Cheryl (Adam) Staudacher of McDonald; seven grandchildren, Travis Cross, Brittany Cross, Thomas Cross, Eve (Matthew) Feehley, Seth Staudacher, Luke Staudacher, Isaac Staudacher; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Joe Cross of Mineral Ridge and Jackson (Sally) Cross of Seadrift, Texas. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Shane Thomas Cross who died March 13, 2017 and a brother, Troy Cross. A private funeral will be Wednesday afternoon March 29, 2017 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The Rev. Harold Wilson of the Open Door Community Church will officiate. Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the Grace Hospice staff for their compassionate care and comfort to Tom and request that memorial contributions be made to Grace Hospice.
