NILES - Tiny D. Tackett, 83, 14
South Union Way, passed away peacefully with her family at her side
at 4:15 pm on Sunday July 28, 2013 at the Trumbull Memorial
Hospital.
She was born in Niles on January 10, 1930 the
daughter of William Shirley and Zola B. (Tomlin) Estes and lived in
this community her entire life.
She was an active longtime member of the Evening
Light Apostolic Church and has many years of perfect Sunday School
attendance. She was well known for her blue berry cobbler and
her "Kentucky Style" pickled corn and beans. She enjoyed her
many dogs and loved the winter snow and Snow Queen inscribed on her
cemetery monument.
Tiny is survived by her husband, James M. Tackett
whom she married on November 24, 1948; son, James A. Tackett of
Niles; daughter, Rebecca J. Patrick of Niles; two granddaughters,
Jennifer (Joe) Christopher of Girard, Amber Patrick of Niles; three
sisters, Lora Gromley of Niles, JoAnn Johntony of Girard, Sandy
Estes of Howland.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four
brothers, John Estes, Charles Estes, George Estes, Robert Estes and
a sister, Gladys Rounds.
Calling Hours will be Wednesday, July 31, 2013
from 5 to 7 pm at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The
Funeral will be Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 11:00 am at the funeral
home. Pastor Darrell Cline will officiate. Burial will
be in Niles City Cemetery.
