Walter E. Haynie

VIENNA - Walter E. Haynie Sr., 87, died on Tuesday morning December 2, 2014 at his residence following a short illness. He was born in Vienna on September 30, 1927 the son of George and Hazel (Miller) Haynie and lived in this community his entire life. Walter retired in 1977 after working 30 plus years as a truck driver for Bostwick Steel Lath in Niles. He was a member of the Liberty Bible Church. and loved his "Big Blue Truck", watching NASCAR and wrestling. He also cherished the time spent with his loving wife, children and grandchildren. Walter is survived by his wife of 67 years, Betty Jane (Daniels) Haynie whom he married on November 1, 1947; son, Walter (June) Haynie Jr. of Killeen, Texas; five daughters, Jacquelyn (Tammy) Haynie of Niles, Kathy (Marty) Hite of Newton Falls, Penny Haynie of Niles, Grace Haynie of Austintown, Margaret Haynie of Niles; 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; three sisters, Hazel Mae Cvelbar of Vienna, Georgia (Fred) Hoskins of Vienna, Ellen Money of Mineral Ridge; brother, Robert Haynie of Vienna and the "apples of his eyes" his nieces, Audrey Mae Lundy and Jean Marie Gooves. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Howard, Dan, John Haynie; sister, Annabelle McCabe; six nephews, Billy, Howard, Robert, George Haynie, Kenny Money and Danny Cvelbar. Calling Hours will be Friday, December 5, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The funeral will be Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home where family and friends may also call one hour prior to the services. Pastor Alan D. McCracken will officiate. Entombment will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
