Bernadette Wilkerson Obituary
LIBERTY - Bernadette A. Wilkerson, 86, passed away peacefully at 1:30 pm on Wednesday July 9, 2014 at the Liberty Health Care Center.
She was born Braddock, Pennsylvania on April 11, 1928 the daughter of Vincent and Mary Ebbitt. Prior to moving to the nursing home she live on Morris Place in Niles.
For over twenty years she worked in the J.C. Penney catalog department at the Eastwood Mall and was a Poll Worker for the Trumbull County Board of Elections. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed sewing, gardening and walking with her neighborhood friends and dog "country boy".
Bernadette is survived by four sons, Daniel (Carolyn) Wilkerson of Howland, Wayne Wilkerson of Niles, Kevin (Margaret) Wilkerson of El Reno, Oklahoma, David Wilkerson of Niles; Nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sister, Patricia Brawdy of Niles.
She was preceded in death by her husband Herman T. Wilkerson whom she married on November 13, 1954 and who died in November 1987 and several brothers.
Calling hours will be Friday, July 11, 2014 from 5 to 7 pm at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. A Service of Christian Burial will be Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Rev. Thomas Kraszewski of St. Stephen Church will officiate. Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 3695B Boardman-Canfield Road, Canfield, Ohio 44406.
