Charles Wagoner, 93, passed away peacefully on Monday morning October 09, 2023 at his residence. He was born in Elliott County, Kentucky on March 6, 1930 the son of Charles and Delpha Marie (Hanshaw) Wagoner.
Charles honorably served in the Army National Guard and was a member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Warren. He worked for 22 years at the General Motors Lordstown Van Plant and retired in 1988. He was the family historian and enjoyed gardening, farming and playing the guitar. He loved raising and riding horses and owning antique tractors.
Charles is survived by five daughters, Terri (Donald) Goforth of Warren, Melissa Berg of Mineral Ridge, Rose Polta of Vienna, Becky (Steve) Stehura of Fowler, April Agne and David Hassler of Vienna, two step-children, Julie (Dennis) Oder of Columbus, Danny Hatton II of Mansfield; 18 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Lois Lunsford of Dayton, Joyce Ann Lunsford of Columbus, Nadine (Chuck) Lozier of Mansfield.
He was preceded in death by his wives Joyce Ann (Tackett) whom her married on December 22, 1950 and who died on July 29, 1988; Connie L. (Peters) whom he married on July 27, 1990 and who died on November 1, 2018; and two sons, Harold Wagoner, David Wagoner.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday October 12, 2023 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home in Niles. The Funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday October 13, 2023 at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Warren where family and friends may also call one hour prior to the service. Rev. Douglas Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery.
