Constance Kay Mowery

Constance "Connie" Kay Mowery, 80, passed away peacefully at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at the Humility House, Austintown following an extended illness. Connie was born in Mineral Ridge, Ohio on February 7, 1943 the daughter of Thomas and Mildred (Chambers) Whittaker, and lived in Mineral Ridge most of her life.

Connie was a member of the Mineral Ridge High School class of 1960 and received an associate degree as a licensed real estate agent from Youngstown State University. She was employed as a realtor for the former Jordan and Schriber Real Estate Company for several years. Connie was a member of the Mineral Ridge Church of Christ, enjoyed paint in oils and made many paintings for her relatives and friends. She was an avid bingo player, bowler, and enjoyed dancing. Connie cherished the activities with her children and grandchildren especially on holidays and birthdays.

Connie is survived by three sons, Kenneth Mowery Jr. and Craig Mowery both of Mineral Ridge, Brent (Ronda) Mowery Sr. of Liberty Township; daughter, Denise Mowery of Tucson, Arizona; daughter-in- law, Holly Mowery of Mineral Ridge; nine grandchildren: Christopher (Tara), Danielle, Brooke, Brent Jr. (Melissa), Nicole (Randy), Kylie, Tyler, Zach, Charlie, five great grandchildren: Rachel, Caleb, August, Eli and Bodhi and two more on the way. Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth L. Mowery Sr. whom she married January 9, 1960 and who died December 29, 2022; son, Michael Mowery; four brothers, Tommy, Ralph, Glenn and Donald Whittaker and two sisters, Betty Whittaker and Georgetta Leonhart.

The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home, Niles where family and friends may call one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery.
