Edward A. Traichal, 79, passed away at 9:22 a.m. on Friday March 17, 2023 at the Trumbull Regional Medical Center following a long illness. He was born in Warren, Ohio on May 8, 1943 the son of James T. and Ruth Irene (Phillips) Traichal.
He was a graduate of Niles McKinley High School and honorably served in the United States Marine Corp. He was a successful businessman, growing up in the family business, he was the sole owner of Traichal Construction Company and Warren Door Manufacturing Company in Niles. Edward enjoyed traveling with his wife, spending the fall in Maine and the winter in Florida. He also was a member of the Niles Lions Club.
Edward is survived by his wife Cheryl Kay (Snowden) Traichal whom he spent over 23 years together and were married on December 24, 2012; step-son, Brian George of Mineral Ridge; step-daughter, Stacy (William) Jerina of Cortland; step-grandchildren, Kyle, Mason, Kenley; step-great grandson Rowen; numerous nieces and nephews including niece, Christine Traichal-O'Hara.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald J. Traichal and infant sister, Sally Traichal.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday March 20, 2023 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The funeral will be at noon on Tuesday March 21, 2023 at the funeral home where family and friends may also call one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery with military honors provided by the Trumbull County Honor Guard.
