Eloise J. Candel Marshall

Eloise J. Candel Marshall, 92, passed away peacefully at 9:37 a.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at the St. Joseph Health Center. She was born in Girard, Ohio on October 6, 1930 the daughter of the late George and Vera (Bennett) Campbell and lived in this area all her life.

She was a 1948 graduate of Mineral Ridge High School and attended Youngstown University. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Niles and raised her children in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles. Eloise was a sales clerk for fifteen years at Carlisle Department Store. She enjoyed flower gardening, cooking, baking, playing cards and making puzzles. As a devoted and loving mom, she was very active in the activities of her children when they attended school and supported all of the many ball games that they participated in.

Elosie is survived by her children, Charles E. Candel of Beachwood, Anthony R. Candel, of McDonald, Susan E. (Ray) Hoy of Holiday, Florida, Doris J. Candel of Warren, David J. (Vickie) Candel of Vienna; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Anthony C. Candel, Homer Bailey, James D. Marshall and sisters, Lois Morrow and Audrey Jones.

The funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 15 , 2023 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home where family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Deacon Frank Marino will officiate. Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
