Evanthia "Bumps" Pantelis, 98, passed away at 2:13 a.m. on Tuesday April 4, 2023 at the Hospice House in Poland. She was born in Gainesville, Florida on June 27, 1924 the daughter of Charles and Vasiliki (Ladas) Toskas.
Evanthia graduated from Warren G. Harding High School and attended Trumbull Business College. She was an administrative assistant for 43 years at General Electric Ohio Lamp Plant on Dana Street in Warren. She was a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Warren, the Yasou Club, Daughters of Penelope, Greek Orthodox Ladies Philoptochos Society. She enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening.
Evanthia "Bumps" is survived by two sons, David (Carol) Pantelis of Vienna, Ernie (Sharon) Pantelis of Columbus; daughter in law, Jennie Pantelis of Warren; four grandchildren, Nicholas (Katie Bloom) Pantelis, Dr. James (Dr. Khanh) Pantelis, Nicole Pantelis, Cassandra (fiance Ryan Barrett) Pantelis; and two great grandchildren, Sophia Pantelis and George Pantelis.
She was preceded in death by her husband Nick Pantelis whom she married on July 18, 1953 and who died on July 10, 2001; son, George Pantelis; brother, Ernest Toskas and two sisters, Angie Ricci, Ann Kanaris.
A private family service was held at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home in Niles. Memory Eternal.
