Obituary

George Anthony "Tony" Kaniclides, 61, passed away unexpectedly at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday August 3, 2022 at the St. Elizabeth Health Center Emergency Room in Youngstown. He was born in Youngstown, Ohio on November 17, 1960 the son of George Arthur and Leah J. (Ross) Kaniclides.

Tony was a graduate of Niles McKinley High School and attended Youngstown State University. He currently worked at the Trumbull Country Club Golf Course as the scheduler and in maintenance. He previously worked for various construction companies. He loved to golf.

Tony is survived by his father, George A. Kaniclides of Niles; brother, James (Gayle) Kaniclides of Boston, Massachusetts; four nieces, Amanda Kaniclides of Seattle, Washington, Marissa Kaniclides of Denver, Colorado, Ella and Melissa Kaniclides and nephew Reed Kaniclides all of Boston, several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother Leah J. Kaniclides who died on November 2, 2021 and a brother, Andrew Kaniclides.

At his request, a private funeral was held. Burial was in Niles City Cemetery. Arrangements by the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home 126 West Park Avenue, Niles, Ohio 44446.
