HOWLAND - Jennie L. Novak 91, passed away peacefully at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday January 29, 2022 at the Trumbull Regional Medical Center. She was born in Niles, Ohio on December 5, 1930 the daughter of Ignace and Jennie (Dolence) Logar. She was a lifetime resident of Niles where she was born and raised. She was a graduate of Niles McKinley High School and retired from Packard Electric after 26 years of service.
Jennie was a longtime member of St. Stephen Catholic Church and the SNPJ Lodge. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, baking cookies at Christmas, planning the Logar Family reunions and all family activities. She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan and loved her flowers which she planted around her home.
Jennie is survived by five children, Cathy LaPorte of Fowler, Joseph Novak of Columbus, Edward (Meli) Novak of Ashland, Virginia, Janice Randolph of Howland, Sharon (Paul) Incorvati of Streetsboro; nine grandchildren, Kristina Randolph, Ted (Somer) Randolph, Joe Keffer, Michael Novak, Matthew Novak, Eddie Novak, Maggie Novak, Dominic Incorvati, Vince Incorvati; two great grandchildren Asher and Aubryn Randolph.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph F. Novak whom she married on July 21, 1951 and who died on March 12, 2008 and twelve siblings; twin sister, Pauline Harris, Elizabeth Havaich, Frances Stanec, Mary Visnosky, Justine Brauer, John Dolence, Ignace Logar, Frank Logar, John Logar, William Logar, Andrew Logar, Edward Logar; son-in-law Ronald LaPorte.
Calling Hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home where the St. Stephen Bereavement Ministry will have a 6:30 p.m. prayer service. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at St. Stephen Church preceded by a 10:30 a.m. prayer service at the funeral home. Rev. Matt Mankowski will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Stephen Church.
