Karl O. Raub

NILES - Karl O. Raub, died Sunday January 30, 2022 surrounded by his family. He endured a journey with Alzheimers that took his life but not his gentle soul. Karl was born on February 17, 1954 the son of Paul E. Raub Sr. and June Lord.

He was a graduate of Niles McKinley High School and a member of St. Stephen Church in Niles his entire life. He was born and raised in Niles where he would later start his construction business, Raub Construction Corporation - he owned and operated his business for 38 years before retiring in 2014. Shortly after retiring he was diagnosed with Alzheimers. Karl loved God life, nature, the outdoors and construction of course. He always had a smile and a handshake for everyone he met. He was gentle, kind, thoughtful and generous in his ways. He will be deeply missed by those who knew him and couldn't help but love him. His spirit will live forever in our hearts.

He leaves behind his wife Cris, whom he married in July 1986. Karl will be missed by his daughters, June (Joe) and Karla and his five grandchildren, Trenton, Issaih, Corrado, Max, Arriella. Karl also leaves behind his sisters Patricia, Barbara (Bob), his brothers, Paul (Jeannie), Frank, Rex and his brother-in-law Art. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jeanne and sister-in-law Linda.

Alzheimers may have consumed him in the end but it couldn't take his gentle loving soul and now he will live in peace surrounded by the LOVE OF GOD forever. He is now free of this terrible disease. I know the angels were fighting over who had the privileged of escorting him to Heaven.

A private funeral service was held at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home in Niles.
