Louis Payne Cutlip, 75, passed away at 11:16 a.m. on Monday January 22, 2024 at the St. Elizabeth Health Center emergency room. He was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on March 19, 1948 the son of Charles W. and June E. (Hammond) Cutlip.
Louis honorably served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for ACME and M & G Vending Company as a money collector for thirty years and retired in 2015. He was a member of the Apostolic Lighthouse Church and enjoyed fishing, golfing, watching sports especially the Cleveland Browns.
Louis is survived by his wife Carolyn Carpenter Cutlip whom he married on March 13, 1971; three children, Cheryl (Michael) Taylor of Liberty Township, Robert (Consuelo) Cutlip of Youngstown, Amy Sizemore of Vienna; eight grandchildren, Brandie, Michael, Haley, Brad, Heather, Corey, Clarissa, Isabella; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Clara Kay (Mick) Baumgardner of Columbus Grove, Ohio and Bernadette Schnipke of Ottawa, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Calling hours will be from 3 to 4 p.m. on Sunday January 28, 2024 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home in Niles. The funeral will follow at 4 p.m. with Rev. Mick Baumgardner officiating.
