WARREN - Lynn S. Remalia, 94, passed away at 4:47 am, Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at the Trumbull Memorial Hospital. He was born in Niles, Ohio on March 31, 1920 the son of Clifford and Georgia (Stanford) Remalia, and lived in Niles all of his life.
Lynn was a 1939 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and honorably served as a staff sergeant in the United States Army Air Corps. He retired in 1982 from the Ohio Bell Telephone Company where he was a lineman and a switchboard installer for over 41 years. He was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church. He loved to drive and enjoyed touring the country at the wheel of his car and motor home. He also enjoyed boating, exploring on his computer, shopping online, finding the latest gadget to add to his collection and vacationing with his wife in Florida. For many years he served as a boating safety course instructor with the United States Power Squadron.
Lynn is survived by his daughter, Sandra (Edward) James of Howland.
He was preceded in death by his wife LaVerne C. (Cook) Remalia whom he married November 29, 1941 and who died August 30, 2006; two sisters, Marguerite Simon, Ruth Remalia and a brother, Edward Remalia.
Calling hours will be Friday, November 21, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The Funeral will be Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Donald Hall will officiate. Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
