NILES - In memory of a life so beautifully lived and a heart so deeply loved. Madeline Keeley, 75, was called home by the Lord on Thursday morning May 13, 2021 at the Hospice House in Poland surrounded by her loving family. Madeline was born in Warren, Ohio on April 16, 1946 the daughter of Andrew and Josephine (Tedesco) Kaniclides.
She was a 1965 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. She worked at Kings Department Store, General Electric Niles Plant and Packard Electric. Madeline was a longtime member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, Ohio and a member of the Niles McKinley Football Mothers Club. Her true passion was making a loving home for her family.
The happiest of times were spent with her husband, children and grandchildren. Many summers were spent at Rice Lake or at the beach with extended family. Madeline enjoyed bingo, playing the slot machines in Atlantic City and in West Virginia, cooking for her family and outings with the Niles Scope. She was an avid collector of Angels.
Madeline is survived by her husband, Terrence R. "Terry" Keeley Sr. whom she was united in marriage with on August 26, 1967; three sons, Frank Keeley of Niles, Bryan (Melissa) Keeley of Mineral Ridge, Terrence R. "Terry" Keeley Jr. of Niles; daughter in law, Crystal Lambing of Niles; six grandchildren, Tyler, Dillan, Mia, Matthew, Aidan, Ava Keeley; sister, Helen Menegos of Akron; brother, George A. (Leah J.) Kaniclides of Niles; two sisters in law Kathy (Frank) Smith of Mineral Ridge, Cheryl (Edward) Buila of Niles, many nieces and nephews, Fred and Bunny Berecek of Cortland, Jim and Joanne Sydlowski of Brookfield.
Madeline was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother Stanley Kaniclides.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday May 18, 2021 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home, Niles. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday May 19, 2021 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Niles preceded by a 9:30 a.m. prayer service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
