NILES - Madeline J. McLean, 85, passed away peacefully at 11:12 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at her residence following an extended illness. Madeline was born in Richwood, Ohio on March 6, 1935 the daughter of Bryle and Bertha (Partemore) Mosher.
She graduated from Raymond High School, Miami University with a Bachelors in Education degree and Youngstown State University with a Masters in Psychology and Education. Madeline spent many years in counseling at the Crisis Center in Youngstown. She was a devoted mother and grandmother to her family and attended the First United Methodist Church of Niles. Madeline is survived by her five children, Brian K. (Deborah) McLean of Westerville, Bret L. (Rosemary) McLean of West Melbourne, Florida, Bradley S. (Lori) McLean of Mineral Ridge, Rory R. (Annemarie) McLean of Howland, Laurie K. Wagner of Tallahassee, Florida; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; sister, Sharon Yoder of Dover, Delaware.
Madeline was preceded in death by her husband Horace McLean whom she married August 1, 1954 and who died on September 7, 2008 and a granddaughter, Danielle Marie McLean who died on August 12, 2017. The family will announce a celebration of her life at a future date when all relatives and friends may gather together. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
