Margaret Szuch Obituary
NILES - Margaret Szuch, 84, passed away peacefully at 10:36am, Sunday, August 17, 2014 at the Shepherd of the Valley Nursing Home, Niles following and extended illness. Margaret was born in Niles, Ohio on July 8, 1930 the daughter of Albert and Sophie (Moritz) Teglas and has lived in this area all her life.
Margaret was a graduate of Niles McKinley High School, an active member of the South Side Presbyterian Church and the Ladies auxiliary. She enjoyed helping with the church cabbage rolls, nut roll sales and the church dinners. She retired following 42 years of service with the Republic Steel Niles plant, LTV Steel Company and the Warren Consolidated Industries.
Margaret is survived by a son John Szuch of Durham, North Carolina, a daughter Kathy (Kenneth) Schwab of Choctaw, Oklahoma, two grandchildren Jacob Szuch of Mishawaka, Indiana, Roberta (Seth) Friskney of Durham, North Carolina, two great grandchildren Piper Friskney, Luke Rogers, two brothers John Teglas of Girard, Ohio and William Teglas of California.
Margaret was preceded in death by two brothers Julius Teglas, Albert Teglas, two sisters Esther Siska and Sophia Stewart.
Calling hours will be held at the Holerton-Yuhasz Funeral Home, Saturday, August 23, 2014 from 10:00am to 11:00am. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00am, Saturday,
with the Rev. Curtis Miller officiating. Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
Material contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Assocation in her memory.
