Martha Blunt

Weathersfield Township - Martha Blunt, 85, passed away peacefully at 2:27 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born in Munich, Germany on April 22, 1936 the daughter of Franz Xaver Gruber. She was raised by her father and step-mother, was of the Catholic Faith and a homemaker.

Martha lived with her husband in Youngstown for close to 50 years and moved to Weathersfield Township following his death.

Martha is survived by her dear friend, Roswitha Kulcsar with whom she made her home; daughter, Diana Weiss of Germany; three grandchildren, Reeze Gruber, Ramona Platzer, Richard Gruber; five great grandchildren; two step-sisters, Martina Ross of Oklahoma and Helga Spornrof of Germany.  She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred Blunt Jr. who died on March 16, 2014, her father and step-mother, Adelheid Gruber who died on December 9, 1988.

At Martha's request, private services were held at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home in Niles. Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery.
