Mary Jane Boag

AUSTINTOWN - Mary Jane Boag 102, passed away peacefully at 12:05 p.m. on Monday, March 1, 2021 at the Victoria House Assisted Living. She was born in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania on December 22, 1918 the daughter of John E. and Myrtle L. (Lewis) Boag. Mary Jane came to Niles as a young child and was a 1936 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and received an associate degree in Business from Youngstown College. She was an active member of the Niles First United Methodist Church. She was the supervisor of bank tellers at National City Bank for over 46 years. Following her retirement, Mary Jane was an Eastwood Mall Walker and a Trumbull Memorial Hospital Pink Lady Volunteer for many years.
Mary Jane is survived by her caregivers Ron and Julie Tabus of Boardman. She was preceded in death by two brothers, William O. Boag and John E. Boag.
Mary Jane will be buried privately with her parents at Niles City Cemetery. A heartfelt thank you goes to the staff at the Shepherd of the Valley Senior apartments and assisted living as well as the reflection unit at the Victoria House for the care provided over these many years.
