Michael Anthony Bugnone

NILES - Michael Anthony Bugnone, 76, passed away at 9:10 p.m. on Wednesday March 23, 2022 at the St. Joseph Health Center in Warren following a long illness. He was born in Warren on March 21, 1946 the son of Robert and Angie Rose (D'Orio) Bugnone.

Michael was a 1964 graduate of Lakeview High School and honorably served in the United States Air Force from December 1966 to March 1969. He retired from Packard Electric after 38 years of employment.  Michael was an avid Cleveland Indians Fan. He was a Life Master Bridge player and also enjoyed playing poker and going to the casino with his wife.  He was knowledgeable of many languages and loved reading, strategy and word games, but was a terrible Domino player. Most of all, he enjoyed Sunday dinners with his family and cherished the time playing with his grandkids.

Michael is survived by his wife of 48 years, Cheryl Gregory Bugnone whom he married on December 19, 1973; son, Mario (Michaela) Bugnone of North Bend, Oregon; daughter, Talia Bugnone of Niles; three grandchildren, Quintin Bugnone, Willow Bugnone, Haelo Graff; brother, Jeff Bugnone of Niles; sister, Cynthia Bugnone of Sun City, Arizona.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Maurice Bugnone and Robert Bugnone.

According to Michael's wishes there are no services.

The family thanks the ICU nurses at St. Joseph Hospital for the dignity and care shown to Michael in his last days.
