Michael Vern DeFalco

Michael Vern DeFalco, 53, passed away peacefully at 8:28 p.m. on Monday April 17, 2023 at his home with his loving family at his side. He died following a short battle with pancreatic cancer and a long battle with cystic fibrosis. He was born in Warren, Ohio on May 28, 1969 the son of John "Jack" and Carolyn (Furlong) DeFalco.

He was a 1987 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and received many training certifications in Computer Sciences. He instructed computer sciences at Kent State University Trumbull Campus and the Trumbull Career and Technical Center. For many years he was the owner of Custom Computer Center in Niles and multiple rental properties. Michael was interested in and learned about the many advancements of computer technologies throughout his life. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, racing on road courses and watching NASCAR. He was an avid Cleveland Indians, Cavaliers and Ohio State Buckeyes fan. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Michael believed that family and friends come before anything or anyone in this world. He committed his life and days to helping others and never let a day go by that he wasn't checking on his mom and getting her favorite Popsicles, etc. His love language is absolutely acts of service and kindness.

Michael is survived by his wife Tina M. (Mechling) DeFalco whom he married on October 19, 2008; mother, Carolyn DeFalco of Howland; two step-daughters whom he was extremely proud of, Brianna Knight of Medina, Shelby Barnett of Niles; sister, Tami (John) Kost of Howland; two brothers, John DeFalco of Howland, Joe (Cindy) DeFalco of Howland. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews who he loved, cherished, spoiled and was a constant support and confidant for as if they were his children.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Lori Ann Wilson DeFalco who died on November 3, 1997; his father Jack and nephew Lance -Michael DeFalco.

Calling Hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday April 21, 2023 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The Funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday April 22, 2023 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery.
