Michael R. Mowery

MINERAL RIDGE - Michael Raymond Mowery, 50, passed away unexpectedly at 7:41 p.m. on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at the Cleveland Clinic from complications of cardiac arrest and Covid. Mike was born in Youngstown, Ohio on January 21, 1971 the son of Kenneth L. and Constance Kay (Whittaker) Mowery Sr and has lived in this area all his life.
Michael was a graduate of Mineral Ridge High School, employed for 28 years as the production foreman at the Youngstown Tube Company. He was a member of the Mineral Ridge Church of Christ and he loved to entertain relatives and friends at the many Camp Mowery gatherings and backyard wood fires. Mike was an avid corn hole fanatic, Cleveland Browns, Indians and Ohio State football fan. He was a bike enthusiast, especially enjoying street and off road biking.
Michael is survived by his parents of Mineral Ridge, wife, Holly Lynn Heltzel Mowery whom he married March 29, 1995, son Zachary Alex Mowery at home, three brothers, Kenneth L. Mowery Jr, Craig Mowery, both of Mineral Ridge, Brent (Rhonda) Mowery of Liberty Township, sister, Denise Mowery of Tucson, Arizona, special niece Danielle Saxon-Horwath of Cleveland and special nephew Chris (Tara) Mowery of Canfield, as well as many other nieces and nephews and close relatives and friends.
Mike also is survived by his mother-in-law Carol (Tom) Dunnigan of Niles, brother-in-law Steve (Darcey) Heltzel of Plant City, Florida. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law Gordon Heltzel.
Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 14,2021, at the Mineral Ridge Church of Christ . The Rev. Ron Blakeman will officiate. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to the 4:00 p.m. service.
