Patricia Bray Obituary

Patricia Ann Bray, 76, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023 with her husband, Alan Bray, by her side in their Melbourne Beach Florida home after struggling for several months with congestive heart failure. She was born in Warren, Ohio on March 6, 1947 the daughter of William E. and Elizabeth "Libby" (Law) Adair Sr.

Patty attended Saint Stephen Grade School then graduated from Mineral Ridge High School in 1965. In 1968 she graduated from the Trumbull Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and furthered her education to become a nurse anesthetist. She worked for the Trumbull Anesthesia Group in Warren until 2010 when she moved to Melbourne Beach to live in their "Florida Home" and continued to work as a nurse anesthetist at the Melbourne Surgery Center until her retirement in 2017.

Patricia was a member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Mineral Ridge and the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Melbourne Beach. She was a member of "New Neighbors" a charitable organization of South Brevand, Florida, a member of the Moose Lodge in Satellite Beach, Florida and the Womens Guild at Saint Mary's Mineral Ridge. Patty loved to stay busy attending special events and doing fun activities with family and friends. With a carefree soul, she was known for being the "life to the party" and always bringing fun, "shenanigans" and smiles to whoever was in her presence. She loved spending time with her family, going to the beach, and gardening. She was very thoughtful, caring and generous of her time, love and support of various charitable organizations.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 53 years, Alan Clifford Bray whom she married on July 17, 1970; two daughters, Allison (Michael) Croghan of Hilliard, Abby (Shane) Terrick of Pittsburgh; three grandchildren, Elaina Edgington of Hilliard, Sadie Terrick and Oliver Terrick both of Pittsburgh; two brothers, Robert (Margie) Adair of McDonald, Mark (Linda) Adair of Howland; two sisters, Mary Beth Hegel of Niles, Virginia Restuccio of Niles; brothers-in-law Richard (Jill) Bray of Brookfield, Keith Baker and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two granddaughters, Emily Edgington, Madeleine Edgington; two brothers, William E. Adair Jr. and Daniel Charles Adair, sister-in law DeAnn Bray Baker.

Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday December 19, 2023 and 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home in Niles. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at Saint Mary's Church preceded by a 10 a.m. prayer service at the funeral home. The Rev. John Madden will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery.
