William W. McKendree

NILES - William W. "Bill" McKendree 74, passed away peacefully Friday evening, December 31, 2021 at his residence. Bill was born in Brookville, Pennsylvania on November 5, 1947 the son of Dallas and Lillian Wyant McKendree.

Bill was a 1965 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. He honorably served in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietman War. Bill retired in 2014 as a foreman and fence maker for the Aluminum Fence Company and previously worked at Saramar Aluminum. Bill enjoyed pontoon boating, camping, fishing and in his retirement he watched the Cleveland Browns and Indians games.

Bill is survived by two daughters, Tammy Hanks of Cortland, Lorie (Stephen) Toth of Brookfield; four grandchildren Tyler (Hayley) Hanks, Torie Hanks, Tessa Hanks, Lillie Toth; sister Kathryn Peterson of Warren and aunt Louella Wyant of Warren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife Barbara Ann (Murray) McKendree whom he married October 21, 1967 and who died May 8, 2014 and his sister Sarah Spelich.

The Trumbull County Honor Guard will have a Military Service at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home followed by calling hours until a 4:30 p.m. funeral service by the family. Burial will be on Thursday at the Niles City Cemetery.
