William N. Messner

William N. Messner , 63, peacefully passed away on Monday morning July 22, 2024 at the Hospice House in Poland. He was born in Ravenna, Ohio on August 8, 1960 the son of Charles D. and Tana Jane (Manley) Messner.

Bill retired after working over 30 years as a union roofer for Youngstown Local 71. Following retirement, he instructed and helped journeyman roofers with their certification courses. An avid Green Bay Packers fan, he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, and spending time outdoors, camping, and hiking. Bill especially cherished the time spent with his grandchildren and family.

Bill is survived by a son, Matthew (Brenda) Messner of Girard; two grandchildren, Madison Messner, Nolan Messner; sister, Cynthia (Nick) Racin of North Jackson; and two former wives, Michele Messner of Columbiana, Margaret Molter of Enon Valley, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Chuck Messner.

Calling Hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday August 2, 2024 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home in Niles.

A going home service will be at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday August 4, 2024 at New Vision New Day Church 1970 Everett Avenue, Youngstown, Ohio 44514.
