NILES - David M. Yandura, 67, died at 10:40 am Sunday, January 29, 2012 at his residence.

He was born in Warren on July 30, 1944 the son of the late Michael J. and Helen (Sekula) Yandura Sr.and lived in the Warren and Niles area all his life.

A graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, he attended YSU and was a veteran of the United States Army.  He retired in 2001 after working 30 years as a transportation clerk for WCI Steel.  He was a member of the Union Local #1375 and the Knights of Columbus, Warren.  He was an avid golfer and enjoyed his golfing buddies.  He was a starter at Riverview Golf Course.  He was a fan of the Cleveland Indians, Browns and Ohio State and also enjoyed bowling.  He especially loved life and cherished the time spent with his family, granddaughters and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Jacqueline "Jackie" (Tabor) Yandura whom he married on May 9, 1970; son, Mark (Cindy) Yandura of Delaware; two granddaughters, Bella and Caitlin; sister, Maryann (Dennis) McElfresh of Niles; brother, Michael J. Yandura Jr. of Warren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling Hours will be Tuesday, January 31, 2012 from 5 to 8 pm at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home.  The funeral will be Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 10:00 am at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.

The family request that memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley 5190 Market Str. Youngstown, OH 44512 or the American Cancer Society.
