NILES - Gladys Marie Rounds, 77,
died at 10:40 am Monday, January 23, 2012 at her residence
following an extended illness.
She was born in Niles on January 16, 1935 the
daughter of William Shirley and Zola Barbara (Tomlin) Estes and
lived in Niles all her life.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Evening
Light Apostolic Church.
Gladys is survived by two daughters, Barbara
Rounds, Gloria (James) Court; son, Leonard (Diane) Rounds all of
Niles; four sisters, Tiny (James) Tackett of Niles, Lora Gromley of
Niles, JoAnn Johntony of Girard, Sandy (John Upchurch) Estes of
Portersville, PA; nine grandchildren and 19 great
grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard
L. Rounds whom she married on Dec. 24, 1951 and who died on Nov. 2,
2001; son, Vint W. Rounds who died on Jan. 30, 2003; granddaughter;
four brothers, John Estes, Charles Estes, George Estes and Robert
Estes.
The family wishes to thank the Evening Light
Apostolic Church family for their comfort and support.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, January 25, 2012
from 4 to 8 pm at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The
funeral will be Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 11:00 am at the
funeral home. Pastor Darrell Cline will officiate.
Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
