NILES - Hoyland H. Sotak, 94, 2565 Niles-Vienna Road and formerly of Infant of Prague Manor, Warren, passed away peacefully at 1:00am, Saturday, February 4, 2012 at the Autumn Hills Nursing Home following an extended illness.

She was born in Niles, on September 7, 1917 the daughter of James and Rose (Fregly) Colson Sr. and lived in this area all her life.

A graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, Mrs. Sotak was a homemaker and an active member of St Mary Church, Warren and its Altar and Rosary Society.  She was also a member of the Warren Scope Center, the AARP and Birthright Trumbull County. She was a volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels.

She is survived by her son David Sotak of Niles and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Sotak whom she married October 30, 1937 and who died July 23, 1985; daughter, Donna Baglier who died February 3, 1996; four brothers, Joseph Colson, James Colson Jr, Alfred Colson, Anthony Colson and a sister Eleanor Huff.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, February 8, 2012  at 5:00 pm at St. Mary Church, Warren. Rev. Bernard Schmalzried will be the celebrant. A private burial will be in All Souls Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Church, Sts.Peter and Paul Church or Hospice of the Valley.

    I would like to express my deepest sympathy to your family. My aunt is a resident at Autumn Hills. I visit her almost every day so I did get to know Hoyland. There was never a day that she didn't put a smile on my face. I always enjoyed my visits with her. She truly will be missed by many.
