NILES - Joseph Anthony Tripodi
Sr., 77, passed away Friday morning, December 23, 2011 at
his home.
He was born in Niles on October 3, 1934 the son
of Anthony and Domenica (Viole) Tripodi Sr. and resided in this
community most of his life.
Joseph was a 1953 graduate of Niles McKinley High
School and a United States Army Veteran. He retired in 1997 after
working 28 years as a millwright at General Motors Lordstown.
A member of St. Stephen Church, he enjoyed classic cars,
Oldsmobiles, polka music and playing the accordion and organ.
He is survived by his wife Jean (Freel) Tripodi
whom he married on June 20, 1959; six children, Joseph (Brenda)
Tripodi Jr. of Niles, Bob (Roberta) Tripodi of Medina, Cindy (Jeff)
Perry of Niles, John Tripodi of Niles, Tim Tripodi of Niles, Dave
Tripodi of Niles; six grandchildren, Jared Tripodi, Sherri Tripodi,
Ronnie (Vanessa) Clark, Hollie (Donnie) Bernard, Kevin Kucinski,
Deana (Tom) Perkins; six great grandchildren; brother, Lawrence
(Mary Jane) Tripodi of Niles; sister, Mary Tripodi of Niles.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two
brothers, Anthony Tripodi Jr., Louis Tripodi and a daughter in law,
Roxann Tripodi.
Calling Hours will be Monday, December 26, 2011
from 5 to 8 pm at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. Mass of
Christian Burial will be Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 10 am at St.
Stephen Church. Rev. Thomas Kraszewski will be the celebrant.
Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Stephen
Church.
