NILES - June Elizabeth Tidd Granger, 65, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at 1:30 am at her residence surrounded by her loving family following a courageous battle with uterine cancer.
 
She was born in Warren on June 8, 1946 the daughter of Clarence VanHorn and Ruth Alice (Whitten) Tidd.
 
She worked in the vending machine maintenance division of AVI Food Systems for 18 years and retired in June 2011.  She attended Grace Fellowship Church and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, playing cards, computer games, watching birds especially humming birds, canning, planting flowers and gardening.
 
June is survived by her husband William George Granger Jr. whom she married on July 20, 1968; three daughters, Shari R. Granger of Niles, Deborah J. Anderson of Niles, Gail L. (Tom) Cogswell of Jackson Center, PA; son, William G. (Renee) Granger III of Clearwater, FL and six grandchildren.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence VanHorn Tidd and Ruth Alice Whitten Tidd Schlaich; brother, Harry Tidd and sister, Edith Wortman.
 
The funeral will be Friday, October 7, 2011 at noon at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home where family and friends may call one hour prior to the service.  Rev. John Temple will officiate.  Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery.
