NILES - Linda Sue Johnson, 54, of Niles, passed away at 10:47 am on Saturday July 17, 2010 at the Forum Health-Trumbull Memorial Hospital following a long illness.

She was born in Warren, Ohio on August 28, 1955 to George Allen and Virginia (Barritt) Johnson Sr. and lived in this area all he life.
 
A 1975 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Niles and was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Nascar and enjoyed playing pool,  and cards.  She cherished spending time with her family, cousins and friends.
 
Linda is survived by a sister, Nancy (Chuck) Phillips of Girard; brother, John (Terri) Johnson of Niles; three nephews, Gary Phillips of Girard, George "Chip" (Sarah) Johnson III of Sanford, FL, Christopher Johnson of Tiffin; niece, Leann Phillips of Austintown and several cousins.
 
She was preceded in death by her parrents, brother, George A. Johnson Jr. and a  nephew Matthew Johnson.
 
Calling Hours will be Tuesday, July 20, 2010 from 5 to 8 pm at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home.  The Funeral will be Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 10:30 am at the First United Methodist Church of Niles where family and friends may call one hour prior to the service.  Rev. David MacDonald will officiate.  Burial will be at Niles City Cemetery.

Nancy ( HER SISTER) and i were very good friends growing up in Fairhaven Heights, we caught the bus and stood on the bus stop everyday for many years. i knew the whole family and you have My Deepest Sympathy. my prayers and thoughts are with the Johnson family.
