NILES - Mildred Laverne Hostutler, 88, of Camrose Drive and Grace Woods Village passed peacefully at 11:40pm, Friday, July 02, 2010 at the Hospice House, Poland. Mildred was born in Scottdale, Pennsylvania on October 09, 1921 to Harry and Myrtle (Chain) Murray and came to the Niles area in 1942.
She was a homemaker to her husband and children, a member of the former Mineral Ridge First United Methodist Church and the New Hope Methodist Church of Niles, She graduated in 1939 from the Scottdale High School. For many years she was an active member of the Niles Senior Citizens Center and a member of the Golden Glow Rebekah Lodge #608 of Mineral Ridge.
Mildred is survived by two sons, Clarence (Debbie) Hostutler and Roger (Valerie) Hostutler both of Niles, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband James W. Hostutler whom she married October 31, 1942 and who died October 10, 1989 she was preceded in death by a son Dennis Hostutler on February 12, 2010, brother Kenneth Murray and sister, Viola Connors.
Funeral services will be held at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home, Niles on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 11:00am with the Rev. Curtis Miller officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00am to the time of the services. Burial will be private in Pineview Memorial Park.
Contributions may be made to Hospice House or Grace Woods Village.
