WARREN - William G.
Miller, 88, surrounded by his loving family passed away
Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 7:50 pm following a short
illness.
He was born in Aleppo, Pennsylvania on
October 3, 1922 the son of Charles R. and Maryetta (Anderson)
Miller. For over thirty years of his life he resided in
Champion and moved to Warren in 1947. He was a Sergeant in
the United States Army Air Corp and a Veteran of World War
II.
He was a mail carrier for the United
States Postal Service for 31years. He retired from the Niles
Avenue, Warren office on January 2, 1988. He also worked for
ten years at Packard Electric. He was a member and past
deacon (6 years) of the Champion Presbyterian Church.
He enjoyed golfing, walking especially at the mall and reading the
bible which he did every day at 4:00 pm. Throughout the years
he read through the bible four times.
Bill is survived by his wife Agnes
(Poole) Miller whom he married on March 15, 1947; four children,
Linda Furillo of Poland, Mary Ann Miller of Warren, Barbara
"Bobbie" (John P.) Wilson of Niles, William A. (Kelly) Miller of
Maggie Valley, NC; five grandchildren, Tammy Durkin and fiancée
James Migliozzi, Amy Fryda, Tyler Wilson, Brooke Wilson, Madison
Miller; two great grandchildren twins, Abbey and Andrew
Fryda.
He was preceded in death by a brother,
Robert Miller; three sisters, Myrle Ullom, Irene king and Betty
Gilstrap.
Calling hours will be Tuesday,
September 27, 2011 from 4 to 7 pm and Wednesday, September 28, 2011
from 10 to 11 am at the Champion Presbyterian Church. The
funeral will be Wednesday at 11:00 am at the church with Rev.
Marvin Barney officiating. Burial will be in Niles City
Cemetery with military honors provided by the Trumbull County Honor
Guard.
In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be made to the Champion Presbyterian Church, 4997
